Trainer Tony Hoard is truly a product of the Purina Incredible Dog Team. Although Tony has been training dogs in basic commands since he was a child, he didn’t realize his potential until he watched an Incredible Dog Team performance at the Indiana State Fair, which inspired him to try flying discs. In fact, he went home later that day and began training his Australian Shepherd.

Since then, Tony has celebrated many highlights in his career, including making the top twenty on Americas Got Talent, appearing on  Good Morning America and performing with the Indianapolis Symphony. He feels fortunate that he can showcase his deep commitment to his dogs for various audiences. As an avid dog lover and a stickler for positive reinforcement, Tony travels across the country sharing his passion for animals and entertaining crowds with the K9 Crew and the Purina Incredible Dog Team.

Tony’s entourage includes six incredible dogs that perform acrobatic routines all across the country. Rory, an 8-year-old Australian Shepherd with outstanding work ethic, is a two-time Skyhoundz World Champion, 2006 IDDHA Freestyle World Champion and 2007 USDDN National Champion, a mind-boggling jumper and a true air dog, who always seems to land on his feet. Zaniee “J” , a 6-year-old Australian Shepherd, loves to illustrate her crazy flips during  routines while also amusing the crowd by walking on her back legs. At three years old, Q-TEE Pup, an extremely energetic Australian Shepherd, has already taken home a top three finish in an international competition, and amazes fans with his ability to walk backward up a wall! Seven of Nine is the smallest team member, but at only 16 inches tall, she was still able to take home the 2006 Micro-Dog World Championship. Elektra Blu, a 2-year-old Australian Shepherd that also has performed with the Indianapolis Symphony. The newest of the bunch, Mowgli, a 14 month-old Australian Shepherd, loves watching his older brothers and sisters play with flying discs! He’ll be one to watch as he caught his first disc at the young age of 12 weeks!

Through performances with his canine team, Tony hopes to entertain audiences with good, clean routines where the dogs are totally in sync with each other.

When Tony is not performing at sporting events and tournaments, he enjoys spending time with his grandsons and his biggest supporter and wife, Sarah. Tony is thankful for every free moment he has to continue pursuing his dream of working with amazingly talented canines and spreading the belief that any dog has the potential to be truly “incredible”.
