I truly have a love for dogs and that is just what got me started in training and competing. Although I have been training dogs in basic commands since I was young, I didn’t realize my potential until watching a Dog Team performance at the Indiana State Fair, which inspired me to try flying discs. In fact, I went home later that day and began working with Rory, my Australian Shepherd, on some things I had seen at that performance.
Since then, we have celebrated many highlights in our career, including making the top twenty on Americas Got Talent, appearing on Good Morning America, Animal Planet, Martha Stewart and performing with the Indianapolis & Baltimore Symphony. I feel fortunate that I can showcase a deep commitment to my dogs for various audiences the bond that has developed over the years. As an avid dog lover and a stickler for positive reinforcement, our travels has taken us across the country sharing my passion for animals and entertaining crowds with the" K9 Crew ".
The "K9 Crew"entourage includes six incredible dogs that perform acrobatic routines all across the country. Rory, an 9-year-old Australian Shepherd with outstanding work ethic, is a two-time Skyhoundz World Champion, 2006 IDDHA Freestyle World Champion and 2007 USDDN National Champion, a mind-boggling jumper and a true air dog, who always seems to land on his feet. Zaniee “J” , a 6-year-old Australian Shepherd, loves to illustrate her crazy flips during routines while also amusing the crowd by walking on her back legs. At four years old, Q-TEE Pup, an extremely energetic Australian Shepherd, has taken home a top three finish in an international competition, and amazes fans with his ability to walk backward up a wall! Seven of Nine is the smallest team member, but at only 16 inches tall, she was still able to take home the 2006 Micro-Dog World Championship. Elektra Blu, a 3-year-old Australian Shepherd that also has performed with the Indianapolis Symphony and Mowgli, a 2- year old Australian Shepherd, a very high energy bundle of high jumpin' dog. Then our newest addition is Sprocket Rocket this guy came out of rescue he is a mix of Border Collie/ Australian Cattle Dog and his potential and work ethic go hand in hand.
Through performances with my canine team, I want to entertain audiences with good, clean routines and the most important thing is putting smiles on everyones face and keep them coming back for more.
When not performing at sporting events, fairs or festivals I enjoy spending time with my wonderful grandsons ,wife and biggest supporter, Sarah. I'm thankful for every free moment I have to continue pursuing my dream of working with amazingly talented canines and spreading the belief that any dog has the potential to be truly “incredible”.
